Actel HiRel FPGA Reliability Overview
Keywords: Reliability , FPGAs , Applications
The space environment is a brutal and harsh place for silicon integrated circuits, especially those as complex as modern FPGAs. There is a critical need for a large capacity radiation-hardened FPGA to enable space system architects and designers to construct a reliable, functional, cost-effective system vision. Actel's space-flight product portfolio includes FPGAs with higher density and enhanced radiation capabilities. Actel is continuously improving the reliability of its FPGAs by enhancing its current reliability tests in order to meet the stringent demands posed by applications in Space. This session will provide an overview of Actel FPGA products for space and the reliability tests underway to ensure survivability in space.
