Synopsis: Report on High Temperature Tools Technology Needs From the International Partnership for Geotheraml Technology
Keywords: Geothermal, Supercritical Temperatures, Enhanced Geothermal
In 2008, three countries created the IPGT, International Partnership for Geothermal Technology. These countries were: Iceland, United States and Australia. Later, Switzerland joined the IPGT rounding out the group to four. One task of this group was to report on technology needs supporting the development of new high-temperature tools. This paper is a synopsis of the report issued by the IPGT on high-temperature technology needs for new tools needed to enable future enhanced geothermal systems and supercritical geothermal power production.
