AS6081 Distributor Perspective; How it is Utilized to Protect Against Counterfeits
Keywords: AS6081, Counterfeits, Distributor
This presentation will help the audience understand how the utilization of AS6081 distributors will protect their companies and their products from the risk of counterfeits. As a member of the G19 committee and now a certified distributor to the standard, AERI has an interesting perspective on the AS6081 standard and certification. My presentation will begin with a short overview on the standard came into existence and share on the process of its creation. Afterwards, I will explain the preparation a distributor must make and the requirements of the AS6081, which have now become the standard for how to properly avoid the dangers of counterfeits. There are separate requirements to help protect against counterfeits for each area of a distributor’s business, including; sales, purchasing, contract review, quality control, and even reporting of detections to help others avoid future purchases of the same product.
