Thermal Performance of Wearable Electronics

As ecosystem of mobile devices evolve, Wearable computing devices such as Smartwatches contribute to seamless connectivity for consumers. Wearables provide a platform for some applications and services that are lower-power. This mainly due to a more limited battery life and more importantly the intimate proximity of the device with users skin. This presentation sheds light on thermal mgmt. challenges within this platform, limits on power dissipation of Smartwatches, and strategies for more effective thermal mgmt.
