Come On Down!

To Baltimore that is, and be an Exhibitor at IMAPS ’01. Baltimore is in the heart of the East Coast high tech corridor. Within this corridor, the Mid-Atlantic Region is especially dense with microelectronics, photonics, electronics, and microwave companies. Also in this region are many systems houses, OEMs, government facilities, and suppliers who work in our industry.

The IMAPS Symposium and Exhibition has always drawn high numbers of attendees when it has been held in Baltimore and we expect the same to hold true this coming October. Baltimore is easy to reach by car, train, or plane. Over a third of the population of the nation is within a day’s driving distance of Baltimore.

A light rail, subway, and commuter train system links downtown with the rest of the metropolitan area. The Baltimore Convention Center, where both the Symposium and Exhibition will be held, is a baseball’s throw away from Camden Yards, the home of the Orioles. Next door to Camden Yards is PSINet Stadium, the home of the Super Bowl champs, the Ravens. Baltimore’s beautiful Inner Harbor is only two blocks from the Convention Center.

Excellent restaurants, reasonably priced hotels, and convenient parking are readily available in Baltimore.

Don’t forget to enjoy some steamed crabs while you are here!

Several new marketing tools are being aggressively used to maximize attendance at the Show. These include frequent Press Releases to the media and a highly developed presence on the web devoted specifically to the Show.

Thousands of copies of the 34-page Advance Program will be distributed to the readership of industry publications. We are featuring two free lunches in the Exhibition Hall. An afternoon Octoberfest will also be held in the Exhibition Hall. No one who attends IMAPS ’01 will go home hungry! We expect to fill the Exhibition Hall with Exhibitors first and then attendees, so reserve your space now before we are sold out!

See you there!

Greg Chesmar, Exhibits Co-Chair
