PARELEC Adds Two Industry Veterans to Board of Directors
Parelec, Inc., has announced the addition of both Dr. Ralph J. Richardson of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., and Dr. A. Wayne Tamarelli, a private investor, to its Board of Directors. Richardson is currently Director of Global Technology for the Electronics Division of the Gases Group at Air Products and is responsible for coordination of all technology programs. Tamarelli has had a long and distinguished career as an entrepreneur, chief executive officer and private investor.

Newport Corp. Signs Agreement to Acquire MRSI
Newport Corporation has announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire MRSI. The combination of the two companies will result in significantly enhanced value of their customer base and expand market for their products worldwide.

Bruce Hueners Named Vice-President of Marketing for PALOMAR
Palomar Technologies has announced the promotion of Bruce W. Hueners to Vice President of Marketing. Hueners joined Palomar Technologies in 1981 when it was part of Hughes Aircraft, where he held several engineering, sales, and marketing management positions. Hueners has vast experience in the laser and optoelectronics fields, collaborating in the 1980s on the development of the laser interferometer positioning system as well as sub-micron positioning systems. He has an extensive background in processes and integrated equipment for advanced microelectronics packaging with particular emphasis on interconnect methods and metallurgy.

Cormack Appointed to Chief Operating Officer of SEMI DICE
Semi Dice, Inc., a leading bare die distributor, has named Dan Cormack chief operating officer. Cormack continues to serve as senior vice president. As senior vice president and COO, Cormack oversees the company’s die processing operation, including three stocking facilities, 50 employees and 500 customers. He succeeds Mitch Myers who will continue to serve as president of Semi Dice. Cormack joined Semi Dice in 1982. During this time, he has served many different roles including regional sales manager, territory manager and vice president, division manager.
