IMAPS Texas
North Texas and Central Texas Chapter members have responded to an IMAPS survey inquiring about their interest in participating in reinvigorating each of the Chapters. This is a preliminary step in getting the IMAPS presence in Texas back to its former strength.
There is also a move afoot to get a new student chapter at the University of Texas/Austin organized and operating. We will keep you informed as more news develops in these areas. If you are interested in becoming involved in one of these endeavors, please contact Brian Schieman, bschieman@imaps.org
Pacific Northwest Chapter
On October 16the Pacific NW Chapter of IMAPS and the Oregon SMTA will be traveling to Corvallis, OR, for a special meeting at Oregon State University and an overview of OSU’s electronics manufacturing program and curriculum development efforts, along with presentations of student work at OSU’s new electronics manufacturing lab.
