Welcome to the IMAPS On-Line Interactive
Events Calendar!
This calendar is used to profile the important
events in the microelectronics and packaging industry. IMAPS
now offers this interactive calendar with all of our North
American, International, and Chapter events. In addition,
IMAPS now compiles the key events from the other organizations
across the industry, based on those that have been submitted
for inclusion on the IMAPS calendar. YOU
can submit any event you wish, on-line, right now! IMAPS
will review your event and post it once the details have
been reviewed*.
How To Use This Calendar:
These instructions should help you with all
aspects of the on-line calendar. If you have any questions
that cannot be answered within this document, please contact
IMAPS headquarters at 202/548-4001 or e-mail us at imaps@imaps.org.
Viewing Events
Whenever you first open the calendar, by default,
"IMAPS-ONLY" events from "Today" forward
will show in the main window. If no events appear, you should
contact IMAPS HQ at imaps@imaps.org.
If events do appear, you can scroll the list and use the
navigation buttons to view each event one by one. If
you wish to see events run by other organizations, or if
you wish to view a smaller set of results, you should try
using our search/filter tools.
We recommend using the search/filter tools
at the bottom of the page, if you are looking for a specific
event, or wish to see an event based on: location, month,
year, category (including breakdown of IMAPS types and other
organizations), keywords, or day. You can use a combination
of any/all of these options. Here is the search/filter tools
section.
Looking for an event in a certain
region of the world?
Use the location picklist and see all events
for all dates within that selected region. Once you search
the region, you can narrow down the listing of events by
using one of the other search fields.
Looking for an event being held in
a certain month?
Use the month picklist and see all events within a particular
month. TIP: you must use in combination with the year picklist
to see events for a given month in a given year, otherwise
you'll see all events for that month over all the years
in the system. You can also use this search tool in combination
with any others to really narrow down your search.
Looking to see all events held in
a given year?
Use the year picklist by itself and you'll see
every event scheduled for that year. This list could be
quite long, so we recommend that you do this when you have
the time to scroll through dozens and dozens and dozens
of events! We do not recommend using this if you wish to
find one particular event. If you don't know much about
it, perhaps a keyword search will work best for you.
Looking to see a certain type of
IMAPS events (chapter event for example) or an event held
by another organization?
Use the category picklist tool and you'll have an easy time
doing so. This picklist provides you with a breakdown of
IMAPS types of events--by chapter, workshops with/without
exhibitions, symposia, etc. This list also provides you
with names of other organizations that MIGHT have scheduled
events in this calendar. If you don't see a category or
organization that you would hope to find, please make a
request to imaps@imaps.org.
Looking for an event, but you really
don't have any information that would allow you to use these
tools?
Try a keyword search. You must have some name, date, city,
contact person, or something that could possibly help. It's
worth a try. Just type in any information in the keyword
search field and click SUBMIT. We can't promise you anything,
but this might help.
What if I know the exact date an
event is being held and I don't want to waste the time doing
all these searches?
Use the interactive calendar tool in the very bottom
of your monitor. Here it is:
You can click on the months (left menu with number 1-12)
and individual calendars for each month will appear to your
right (as seen above). You can then click on any day and
see the events that fall on that day in the main window
of the event calendar screen, if any are in fact scheduled.
When you locate events, they will appear in the main
window as follows:
The important dates will appear down the left side, starting
with event dates, then exhibition dates (if applicable)
and finally dates of PDCs (if applicable). The title of
the event and important information--description, location,
website, etc--will appear to the left, as seen above. You
can click on the link to view the website or webpage for
this event, or you click on the 'Event Details' button to
pull up a profile page for this event.
Adding An Event
You can simply click on the 'add an event'
button in the upper right corner of any web calendar screen
and you will be prompted with the form for entering events.

We recommend that you enter as much information
as possible before submitting for IMAPS review. IMAPS will
not be able to post incomplete information. To improve your
chances for a speedy post of your event, fill out all applicable
fields. You will need to scroll a bit to enter data for
all fields, but when you reach the bottom, simply click
submit and it will be ready for review by IMAPS staff. You
can hit clear at any time to remove everything you've typed
and start over! If you have questions about why your event
has not been posted, e-mail us at imaps@imaps.org.
Please note that IMAPS reserves the right to refuse posting
of events. You will not be contacted by IMAPS so if you
wish to learn more, you will need to contact IMAPS Headquarters.
