The Energy Conference will be held at the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is being produced by the International Microelectronics And Packaging Society (IMAPS). This conference is a continuation of last year's first Alternative Energy Conference. It will focus on this critical field that will be affecting every aspect of our lives worldwide. Core issues involve both new technologies, and materials/processes for renewable, non-renewable, and innovative application of existing technologies. Incentives for research, investment, and adoption are already practiced in some Asian and European countries. Following new energy policies in the US and other countries, these incentives are now available to encourage the adoption, research, and development of new technologies.

Topics discussed in the sessions are planned to include:

Solar - Photovoltaics; Fuel Cells; Geothermal; BioFuels; Batteries and Hybrids; Wind; Thermal and Power Management; Inverter Materials and Design; Grid and Storage Approaches; Design for Efficiency; Materials and Reliability; Qualification Approaches; Environmental Regulations; and Government/State Policies and Incentives.

Dismantle Hours:

*Dismantling and move-out of exhibits may begin at 3:01 pm, Wednesday, August 13, 2008, and must be completed by 8:00 PM, the same day. No exhibitor will be permitted to pack or remove articles on display or any part of their exhibit prior to the closing of the exposition. Exhibitors who fail to comply with this rule risk being barred from exhibiting at the next year’s event.

Additional booth personnel are welcome at an extra cost of $50 per person. Registrations for the full conference are not included, but are available at an additional cost.
*These items are sent after the event.

All utilities and any additional furniture will be rented through our decorator, Convention Services of the Southwest, Inc. (CSS).

CSS will send you an Exhibitor’s Manual which will advise you of the available extras for your booth as well and shipping information. Do not ship to the hotel.

Marketing Feature Available for Exhibitors:

IMAPS will extend to all exhibitors an opportunity to provide an unlimited amount of pages of company products, services and contact information to be included in the Technical Proceedings CD-ROM. These CD-ROMs are provided to all technical conference attendees and are for sale through IMAPS to all industry professionals.

This unique feature will allow exhibiting companies an unlimited amount of promotional material for their products and services that will go well beyond their exposure at the Workshop.

There is no charge for this optional feature. However, the deadline (4/8/08) must be met in order to be included.

Submissions should be sent electronically in one (1) file, either PDF or Word, that is easy to open, not password-protected and in a logical format. Any materials not sent in the required format or that arrive after the deadline, may not appear on the CD-ROM. Send files to abell@imaps.org on or before August 12, 2008.
