Distributed Solar Energy Markets: Policies and Incentives to Develop the Solar Industry Cecilia Aguillon, Kyocera Solar Ms. Cecilia Aguillon, the Director of Business Development and Government Relations of Kyocera Solar Inc., presented “Policies and Incentives to Develop the Solar Industry.” She spoke about the roles of both the government and the private sector in encouraging the growth of solar energy markets. Her presentation described policy tools used to create incentive programs to attract investment, technology improvements, and cost reductions. PV Industry and the Challenges of Rapid Growth Alan King, Evergreen Solar Mr. Alan King, the Director of Sales for the Americas of Evergreen Solar, presented “PV Industry and the Challenges of Rapid Growth”. He provided an overview of the solar power industry; its history, recent rapid growth, and future opportunities. Particular focus was on the supply chain challenges for an industry that has been growing over 50% annually.
