IMAPS
2006 is the largest symposium related to the
microelectronics packaging industry in the world. IMAPS 2006 will
feature a powerful technical program with 3 New Plenary Sessions,
progressive professional development courses, a nationally known
Keynote Speaker, another informative Global Business and Marketing
Council forum and many other events and activities to share the latest
developments in microelectronics.
The
Annual IMAPS Symposium attracts over 3,000 attendees who represent
all facets
of the microelectronics and electronic packaging industries.
These include: engineers, technicians,
R&D, purchasing, manufacturing, management, and many more.
They represent the automotive, communications, medical, aerospace,
computer, defense, homeland security and consumer
industries.

Dr. Irwin Mark
Jacobs, Chairman of the Board of QUALCOMM Corporation has agreed to address the IMAPS 2006 attendees on the Telecommunications
Industry.
Dr. Jacobs is co-founder and chairman of the board of directors
of QUALCOMM Incorporated, pioneer and world leader of Code Division
Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology. Dr. Jacobs served
as chief executive officer of the Company until July 2005.
Dr.Jacobs
has led the commercialization of CDMA technology and its success
as the world’s fastest-growing, most-advanced
voice and data wireless communications technology. CDMA is the basis
for all third-generation (3G) wireless networks; these 3G CDMA networks
now carry the voice and data traffic of more than 150 million subscribers
worldwide.
Dr.
Jacobs holds several CDMA patents, contributing to QUALCOMM’s
extensive portfolio of more than 3,000 patents issued and pending
U.S. patent applications. More than 125 companies have licensed
CDMA for
the manufacturing of wireless devices and network infrastructure
equipment, integrated circuits and test equipment.
New Plenary Sessions - New to the Technical Program are three Plenary
Sessions focusing on three key international industries located in
the Southwest and Pacific Coast Region. In these sessions, the first
presentation will be a Mini-Keynote address by an OEM or Product
Maker. They will present the vision for that industry and emerging
technologies over the next five years. Then engineers from all over
the world will present new and advanced solutions that support the
technology presented by the OEM. IMAPS 2006 will hold one of these
sessions each day to bring in a new and different set of people each
day. The New Plenary Sessions are as follows:
Wireless,RF,& Telecommunications will include technologies for products such as cell phones and
base stations.
Bio-medical will focus on technologies
for medical devices such as implantable devices and diagnostic machines and imaging.
Military
and Homeland Security will include the latest technologies
for all types of radar systems, bio-detection systems, weapons, etc.
New Exhibitor
Benefits - Expanded Advertising and Public Relations
Reach - IMAPS will expand the reach and frequency of its advertising
over previous campaigns and will include advertisements or announcements
in both print and electronic media. IMAPS will also implement a press
relations campaign to motivate attendance from readers of all electronics
industry periodicals, with more focused attention on editors from
Packaging, Wireless, RF, Military Electronics and Medical Device
trade press.

your organization’s web-site - The IMAPS website
will feature a link to each exhibitor organization’s
website promoting to the attendees that you will be there,
giving you benefit
of a virtual trade show.
Bingo
Program - This year, IMAPS is offering a
Bingo program where the attendees can win prizes for visiting
more of the exhibitors.
This will bring more qualified people to your booth. New
Exhibitors will be invited to donate a prize to the program. Attendees
will receive a card to take with them to 16 exhibitors whom they
are interested in visiting. The exhibitor stamps the card, and once
the card is full, the attendee drops the card in the raffle bin to
win prizes.
Direct
Mail Campaigns - 50,000 Advance Programs will be mailed to
previous IMAPS attendees, IMAPS members, and other targeted demographic
lists.
Mailings, e-mails and personal phone calls will be focused on attracting
participants from all disciplines of the microelectronics industry.

IMAPS
2006 is making every effort to ensure that we bring the customers
you want to see into the exhibit hall. We offer the following co-marketing opportunities:
Guest
Invitations — IMAPS
2006 will send every exhibitor 100 show passes for you to send
to your customers. If you need more,
we will send them to you.
Sponsorships — Increase your visibility! Sponsor a coffee
break or a reception. Sponsoring an event shows your commitment to
the customer’s industry. IMAPS will furnish signage throughout
the Show site recognizing your contribution.
The 11th
Annual IMAPS Golf Classic will be held to benefit the Sidney
J. Stein Educational Foundation. Donations to and special sponsorships
of this event are a superb way to ensure the future of a worthy student
who will soon be an active contributor to our industry.
50% deposit is due with the booth application. The balance will
be due on July 15, 2006. Exhibitors will be mailed an invoice following
space assignment indicating the balance due. Failure to pay the balance
by July 15, 2006, may result in reassignment of your booth location
or cancellation of the contract.
New Booth Features!
A
standard booth includes a 6’ table, 2 chairs, plus 8' high
back drape and two 3' draped side rails. A 9" x 44" sign
with your company name and booth number is also included. New
Product
and Services listings in the 2007 issues of Advancing
Microelectronics – taken from the Final Program. New
Participation
in a contest to win a free of charge 10’x10’ inline
booth rental at IMAPS 2007 – San Jose, CA. New
Each exhibiting company will receive one free Symposium registration
and a copy of the Symposium Proceedings on CD ROM.
Any
other booth requirements can be ordered from the appropriate
show contractor
at an additional
rental fee. All exhibitors will
receive an Exhibitor’s Manual that will outline all services
available for IMAPS 2006.
Refunds, minus a $100 processing fee, will be made for booth cancellations only if the Exhibit Hall sells out and if the can-cellation is made
at least 30 days in advance of the Symposium start date. If the Exhibit
Hall does not sell out, the full amount of the booth fee will be
due to IMAPS. However any monies paid, in excess of the 50% deposit,
will be applied against the cost of space at IMAPS 2007, in San Jose,
CA.
