The Annual IMAPS Symposium attracts over 3,000 attendees who represent all facets of the microelectronics and electronic packaging industries. These include: engineers, technicians, R&D, purchasing, manufacturing, management, and many more. They represent the automotive, communications, medical, aerospace, computer, defense, homeland security and consumer industries.

Nationally Renown
Keynote Speaker

Dr. Irwin Mark Jacobs, Chairman of the Board of QUALCOMM Corporation has agreed to address the IMAPS 2006 attendees on the Telecommunications Industry.

Dr. Jacobs is co-founder and chairman of the board of directors of QUALCOMM Incorporated, pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology. Dr. Jacobs served as chief executive officer of the Company until July 2005.

Dr.Jacobs has led the commercialization of CDMA technology and its success as the world’s fastest-growing, most-advanced voice and data wireless communications technology. CDMA is the basis for all third-generation (3G) wireless networks; these 3G CDMA networks now carry the voice and data traffic of more than 150 million subscribers worldwide.

Dr. Jacobs holds several CDMA patents, contributing to QUALCOMM’s extensive portfolio of more than 3,000 patents issued and pending U.S. patent applications. More than 125 companies have licensed CDMA for the manufacturing of wireless devices and network infrastructure equipment, integrated circuits and test equipment.

New Plenary Sessions - New to the Technical Program are three Plenary Sessions focusing on three key international industries located in the Southwest and Pacific Coast Region. In these sessions, the first presentation will be a Mini-Keynote address by an OEM or Product Maker. They will present the vision for that industry and emerging technologies over the next five years. Then engineers from all over the world will present new and advanced solutions that support the technology presented by the OEM. IMAPS 2006 will hold one of these sessions each day to bring in a new and different set of people each day. The New Plenary Sessions are as follows:

Wireless,RF,& Telecommunications will include technologies for products such as cell phones and base stations.

Bio-medical will focus on technologies
for medical devices such as implantable devices and diagnostic machines and imaging.

Military and Homeland Security will include the latest technologies for all types of radar systems, bio-detection systems, weapons, etc.

New Exhibitor Benefits - Expanded Advertising and Public Relations Reach - IMAPS will expand the reach and frequency of its advertising over previous campaigns and will include advertisements or announcements in both print and electronic media. IMAPS will also implement a press relations campaign to motivate attendance from readers of all electronics industry periodicals, with more focused attention on editors from Packaging, Wireless, RF, Military Electronics and Medical Device trade press.

Free links to your organization’s web-site - The IMAPS website will feature a link to each exhibitor organization’s website promoting to the attendees that you will be there, giving you benefit of a virtual trade show.

Bingo Program - This year, IMAPS is offering a Bingo program where the attendees can win prizes for visiting more of the exhibitors. This will bring more qualified people to your booth. New

Exhibitors will be invited to donate a prize to the program. Attendees will receive a card to take with them to 16 exhibitors whom they are interested in visiting. The exhibitor stamps the card, and once the card is full, the attendee drops the card in the raffle bin to win prizes.
