Welcome to the beautiful State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.  It is an honor and a pleasure to welcome the participants of the International Microelectronics And Packaging Society (IMAPS) Symposium to our State.  We are pleased to be your host, offering our historic landscape and scenic shorelines for your annual meeting.

While you are here, I hope you have the opportunity to do some travelling within Rhode Island.  From the natural beauty of our beaches in South County, to the magnificent mansions in Newport, to the historical legacy of Pawtucket and Providence’s East Side, Rhode Island has something to offer everyone.  We have over 400 miles of pristine shoreline, world-class restaurants and lodging in every city and town, and history on every corner throughout our state.
