Lonnie Poole Golf Course
Centennial Campus
North Carolina State University
Raleigh, NC
The Microelectronics Foundation golf tournament was held at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course. The championship course was designed by Arnold Palmer and just opened to the public in 2009. The Arnold Palmer Design group used features in the existing landscape as the primary cues for their design. It’s proximity to downtown Raleigh (15 mins.) and natural elevations allow outstanding vistas during play.
Cost is $125 per person
The cost includes: Transportation to and from the course, greens/cart fees, shotgun start, and a buffet lunch.
A bus picked up all golfers at 6:30am at the Marriott next to the convention center. Golfers teed off shortly after arriving at the course. Lunch was provided at 12:00 noon (following the end of the golf round). Golfers returned back to the Marriott by bus at approximately 1:30pm.
