Thank you for attending IMAPS 2012 San Diego.
We had 1010 total registrations at IMAPS 2012. This overall number was down slightly from last year, mainly due to a small decline in exhibits booths, and fewer exhibits only registrations.
- "Full Symposium" registrations (those registered to attend the full conference) were up 19% from 2011, up 10% from 2010, and up 20% from 2009. This was the largest number of full registrations in the past 5 years -- a great sign as we move into 2013!
- IMAPS 2012 featured 76% more sponsors compared to 2011 (30 this year, 17 in 2011)
- We had more members, non-members, speakers, session chairs and students compared to IMAPS 2011
- We saw about 100 less exhibit booth staff and exhibit only visitors compared to 2011 -- our main reason for the slight decline in total number of participants
- Our attendees came from 25 countries around the globe -- Germany, UK, Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, France, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico to name a few.
- More than 434 people attended from the host state of California.
- More than 431 different companies were represented at IMAPS 2012.
- More than 120 "Chief Executives" (C-Level, Presidents, VP, etc) were in attendance.
130 exhibit booths were on display at IMAPS 2012. Speaking with many exhibitors, it seems that the quality of the leads this year were quite good. As a result, 60 booths have already been reserved for IMAPS 2013 Orlando.

The 45th International Symposium on Microelectronics will be held at the Town and Country Convention Center, San Diego, California, USA, and is being organized by the International Microelectronics And Packaging Society (IMAPS). The IMAPS Technical Committee seeks original papers that present progress on technologies throughout the entire microelectronics/packaging supply chain. The 45th Symposium on Microelectronics will cover three tiers of electronics: Systems and Applications; Design and related measurements; and Materials, Process and Reliability. IMAPS 2012 will feature 6 technical tracks that span the three days of sessions on: 3D IC/Packaging; Modeling, Design & Reliability; Next Generation Materials; Advanced Technologies; Assembly and Packaging; and the international track entitled Packaging & System Integration: A Global Perspective. There will also be an Interactive University Poster Session. The 2012 San Diego Symposium is loaded with new/enhanced features, including: a revamped Thursday program that features 2 keynotes on 3D, a new 3D panel discussion, and sessions in the afternoon; exhibitor "power hour" presentations each day in the hall; and much more.
